In the Autumn DEFRA will be consulting with stakeholders on the composition and membership of the Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authorities which will be replacing Sea Fisheries Committees from April 2011 (There is likely to be a transition period before then, when 'shadow IFCAs' will run alongside SFCs).
It's important that individuals and organisation that have views on the future make-up of SFCs let DEFRA know that they wish to be included in the consultation, and to be sent details.
