FAO Elin Jones
Please excuse my direct approach to you, but about 6 weeks ago Chris Ruane was supposed to arrange a meeting between you and I to discuss the "golden Mile" philosophy for the protection of the local biodiversity. The link below will take you to my conservation web site. Please have a look for information on the “Golden Mile”

I understand that Wag are in the throws of disbanding the SFC's and are taking the overall control of the marine environment and management. I believe that Wales could be leaders in the protection of local marine environment in the UK.
I also wish to discuss local fisheries policy, specifically the under 10 meter fishing fleet in terms of fishing areas, and types of future controls, i.e. MCZ's or indeed the "Golden Mile" Although fishing within the law, I have proof that holiday and recreation anglers are becoming discouraged from taking their fishing holidays in Wales because of some draconian laws which are completely outdated. I can prove that the income from "the holiday fisherman" would far exceed the income from the under 10 meter fleet.
I hope that we can arrange a mutually convenient time to meet in the not to distant future.
Yours faithfully
Steve Pettit

Steve, How about giving him an 'honourary' login so that you can see if he has the courage to visit the site and see feeling for himself

Here you can see the sequence of events. I have yet to contact the fisheries officers. I really do not see that these guys will have the authority to change policy. But I will give it a go soon. Bearing in mind that WAG is scrapping the SFC's.
