Hi Mark
First I must say congratulations on your achievements so far, great stuff mate. A few weeks ago you had a conversation with Allan Cuthbert of the “Campaign for the Protection of Welsh Fisheries” www.cpwf.co.uk/ Allan and I are working closely together to influence WAG here in Wales on various issue. I have just started up a conservation website here in north Wales called
“Conservation Matters—Doesn’t it? conservationmatters.proboards.com/index.cgi I am trying to represent the Welsh RSA, and pushing the virtues of the golden mile. Allan represents the fresh water and game fisherman. So we have all basses covered. Is there anyway we can that we can work with Angling trust on a voluntary basses, as we are both none profit making sites. I also run the conservation section on zebrakayak.proboards81.com/index.cgi?board=conservation so as you can see I am very active. It is possible that at some time in the future the 2 site could merge. Allan’s site has 20000 associated members; the kayak site has a membership of 950+ it also gets over 35000 hits a week. You may have me on file as we have spoken previously.
When you spoke to Allan something you said surprised me a bit, and that was that you were going to discus representation of the Welsh RSA with the WFA. This organisation has always claimed that they could not represent the RSA through fear of loosing their funding from WAG and the sports council, as it would be seen as political to do so. Quite how I’m not sure? I fail to see what might have changed in this regard.
I have a face to face meeting lined up with Elin Jones AM to discuss no commercial net boats within one mile of the shores around Wales. As per the “Golden Mile” (SACN) written by Leon Roskilly.
I look forward to speaking to you in the future.
Regards
