I Have just completed an environmental course at work and a few very surprising fact came out of it, like
1 gallon of oil will cover an acre of water
1 pint of oil will pollute 100,000 gallons of drinking water
1 litre of milk is enough to remove the entire oxygen content of 1 tonne of water
Fruit juice, alcohol, yogurt, or any other form of organic food stuff entering water is up to 1000 times more destructive then raw sewage.

Does that mean 'Don't drink and yak if there is a chance of being sick!' If fact I guess it means that those who suffer sea-sickness should endeavour to reach the shore before being sick, vomitting afloat is an environmental incident!!
