I know its not illegal, but I would like to see areas where gill netters and under 10 meter boats are not allowed to put nets. As some of you will know I am all in favor of the "golden mile" but I don't think that WAG have the balls to go that far. What is going to happen is that MPA's (Marine protected areas) and MCZ's (Marine protected zones) are going to be created.
Nobody and I do mean nobody is going to represent the individual sea angler at any of the consultation meetings. So its up to us as individuals to make our voices heard. I am now registered as a stake holder in the formation of the MPA's and MPZ's, and as such will be kept closely informed of meetings and any plans that are being considered. IT IS ONLY DURING THE CONSULTATION PERIOD THAT I WILL HAVE A SAY.
Please be aware that doing nothing is no longer an option. Well not unless you are planning to give up angling anyway. And that might be sooner then you planned.
