We have only a few days, to the 23rd of this month, to send in a view on this consultation document. An easy way to do it is via this web link, which is a little misleading as when to log on you are offered the choice of which river you wish to adopt. However please follow the directions and send in a comment on this directive.

The documentation actually makes reference to the 1 mile from the coast that the Golden Mile Campaign is based upon. The revenue from trawling by Welsh boats is worth little to the Welsh economy compared with game angling and shell fish production, which should be allowed to continue. You may wish to push for them to tale up the principle of banning trawlers, of any size, from trawling within 1 mile from our coast.

You may wish to follow the direction and make little or no comment on the questions they ask but at the end simply say that for a consultation document you would need to be a Philadelphia Lawyer to understand it all so as a consultation document is is almost useless. It's up to you.

I attended a workshop earlier this week at which we were told that there have been 10 responses from the whole UK. And we wonder why nobody listens to us!!

You may wish to express your concern that the major failure in the indicators for our rivers is, believe it or not, lack of fish. Yet there is no mention of enforcement or the protection of our fisheries.

Please guys, do not wait, do it now. make a comment. Make it look as though we care!!

I have just tried to read the document with great difficulty and so chose to express my concerns that when trying to get the opinion of laymen they write using a style more suited to highly aware sectors of society.
I pointed out how badly present the document was concluding with the final question....

How useful was it to see others comments (1 = Easy, 6 = Not Easy)?

SORRY !!!!!! 'How useful?' and the answer is 1 to 6 Easy or not...sorry but even in my basic english the question and answer do not fit!!

I pointed out that with a document like this many will not comment because of the complexity and the Powers That Be should not interperet that lack of comment as apathy.

You got it, that was a real concern. You need to have a degree in several; subject to understand much of the d**n thing. The targets they are aiming fro of plus 2% to plus 4% are a waste of time but will cost a fortune.
