Following calls being made by both the phone to the EA, and reports being made throught the Campaign website www.cpwf.co.uk. This situation occured with great results. Because of my connection to another web site www.cpwf.co.uk I had a phone call from Phil Capper (principle fisheries officer for WAG tonight to say that he had been down to splash point tonight to have a look at the netting situation. He found the net, which didn't have the owners details anywhere on the nets, which rendered the net illegal. The net was then cut into 3 pieces, and the 4 fish in the net was returned to the sea. There was a bass, a sea trout, a mullet, and a doggy. The 3 guys who owned the net was given a verbal warning, about fishing in that location, and also because the net did not have the owners details on it. So we shouldn't see any more nets in that location. If anybody does see a net in this location, you can either pm me and I will report it, or you can report it by ringing 0800 807060 which is the EA. Or go to www.cpwf.co.uk and report it through their reporting page. Either way you can remain anonymous if you so wish. So it does work. please take the effort to report nets if you think they are illegal. Steve
